Quick answer
Open an eToro account through our link, select stocks as your area of interest when you register, verify your account and make a first deposit of at least £500. eToro then adds free shares worth £40, £100, £300 or £500, depending on the size of that first deposit, usually within seven days. Only your first deposit counts, and it needs to stay in your account for at least 90 days. You pick the shares from eToro’s list, and eToro’s fees mean the value you receive is a little below the headline figure. There is no promo code to enter.

eToro bonus tiers: how much you get
The bonus is fixed for each tier rather than picked at random, so you know exactly what you are aiming for before you deposit. What changes is how much the bonus is worth relative to your deposit.
| First deposit | Free shares | Bonus as a share of your deposit |
|---|---|---|
| £500 to £999 | £40 | 8.0% at £500, falling to 4.0% at £999 |
| £1,000 to £4,999 | £100 | 10.0% at £1,000, falling to 2.0% at £4,999 |
| £5,000 to £9,999 | £300 | 6.0% at £5,000, falling to 3.0% at £9,999 |
| £10,000 or more | £500 | 5.0% at £10,000, falling the more you deposit |
Tiers from eToro’s UK offer page for this promotion, read on 7 October 2026. Percentages are our own calculations and are before eToro’s fees, which reduce the value you actually receive.
Thresholds make a big difference. A first deposit of £999 earns £40, while £1,000 earns £100. If you were already planning to invest close to one of the thresholds, it is worth knowing where they sit.
Do not deposit more than you meant to just to reach a higher tier. The money is invested at your own risk and has to stay in your account for at least 90 days to keep the bonus.
How to claim the eToro bonus

- Tap Claim your bonusThis opens eToro’s offer page through our link, so the bonus is attached to your registration.
- Register and select stocks as your area of interesteToro’s terms require the trading interests you select to be limited to stocks and crypto, so leave other products unticked. During registration you will also be offered a list of Qualified Stocks to pick your free shares from.
- Verify your accountComplete your profile and identity checks, including the questions eToro is required to ask by its regulator.
- Make one first deposit at the tier you wantAt least £500. Only this first deposit counts towards your tier, so deposit the full amount in one go.

How to keep your eToro bonus
Most of the fine print is about what happens after you deposit. These are the rules from eToro’s terms for this offer that are most likely to catch people out.
- Leave the deposit in for 90 daysThe qualifying deposit has to stay in your eToro account for at least 90 days.
- Get the first deposit rightOnly your first deposit counts. Topping up later does not move you into a higher tier.
- Expect a little less than the headlineeToro buys the shares for you and its fees apply, so the value you receive is expected to be lower than the tier amount. Selling them later also carries fees.
- Pick from eToro’s listFor UK customers the reward is paid in shares only, chosen from a list of Qualified Stocks that eToro sets and can change. A share being on the list is not a recommendation.
- One bonus per person and householdOpening more than one account to claim again means no reward at all.
- eToro can swap or end iteToro can pay an alternative of the same value, such as cash or different shares, and can change or end the promotion at any time.
Do you need an eToro promo code?
No. This offer is attached to our link rather than a code, so there is nothing to type in. Open your account through the button on this page and the tiered bonus is linked to your registration.
eToro bonus for existing customers
If you already have an eToro account, you cannot add this offer afterwards. eToro’s terms limit it to new customers, and accounts closed in the last 30 days do not qualify either.
Is eToro worth it beyond the bonus?
A bonus should not decide where you invest, so here is the short version of how eToro works for a UK investor, based on our full eToro review.
ETF trades are commission-free, and a $1 or $2 commission may apply to share trades depending on the exchange. The main investment account is in US dollars, so moving between pounds and dollars carries a conversion charge, and for most UK investors buying US shares that is the biggest ongoing cost. A GBP local currency account lets you hold pounds and trade GBP-denominated assets without converting. Withdrawals from the GBP account are free, while the USD account charges a flat $5 with a $30 minimum. There is no inactivity fee.
UK clients are served by eToro (UK) Ltd, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (firm reference number 583263). Eligible investments are covered by the FSCS up to £85,000 per person if the firm fails. Cryptoasset services are not covered by the FSCS.
Drawbacks
- Main account in US dollars, so conversion charges apply
- A $1 or $2 commission may apply to share trades
- $5 fee to withdraw from the USD account
- The qualifying deposit is locked for 90 days
Strengths
- Commission-free ETF dealing
- GBP account avoids conversions on GBP assets
- No inactivity fee
- Copy trading and social features
- Demo account with $100,000 in virtual funds
Our view. If you were already planning to invest £500 or more with eToro, the bonus is a useful top-up on money you would have deposited anyway.
