Invite a Friend offer. Current campaign ends 3 November 2026. Our team may also receive a free fractional share when you join. How this works
Quick answer
Sign up to Trading 212 through our link, or enter code from the offer box in the app, then deposit at least £1 within 10 days. Trading 212 adds a randomly chosen fractional share to your account within three business days. Most rewards sit at the low end: four in five land in the lowest band, worth £25 or less. You can sell the share whenever you like, but its cash value cannot be withdrawn for 30 days. The Cash ISA and the CFD account do not qualify, and you cannot claim if you have held a Trading 212 account before.

Here is the whole offer in one table. Every line comes from Trading 212’s own terms and Help Centre, which we read on 4 October 2026, rather than from other promo code sites.

How to claim your Trading 212 free fractional share
There are two ways to claim, depending on whether you have already started signing up. Both end with the same £1 deposit.
New to Trading 212: use our link
The easiest route. Nothing to type.
- Tap Claim your free fractional shareOur invite is attached to your sign-up automatically.
- Open an Invest account or Stocks and Shares ISAA SIPP counts too, but the reward is paid into an Invest account.
- Verify your identityTrading 212 checks your identity during onboarding. This time counts towards your 10 days.
- Deposit at least £1 within 10 days£1 is the minimum by bank transfer, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Card deposits start at £10.
- Look out for your shareIt arrives within three business days of meeting the conditions.
Already opened an account? Enter the code
For anyone who downloaded the app first.
- Open the menu in the appTap the ☰ icon.
- Tap Use Promo CodeIt sits in the main menu.
- Enter our codeType it exactly as shown, or copy it from the offer box at the top of this page.
- Deposit at least £1Into an Invest account, Stocks and Shares ISA or SIPP within 10 days of opening the account.
- Day 0Open your account through our link, or add the code
- By day 10Deposit at least £1 into an eligible account
- Up to 3 business daysYour free fractional share lands in your account
- 30 days laterThe reward's cash value can be withdrawn
Enter the code as early as you can. Trading 212's Invite a Friend terms expect the code to be added straight after you open the account, and the 10 day window includes onboarding. If you have already used another code or link, ours cannot be added: Trading 212 allows one per customer.
Fund the right account. The qualifying deposit must go into an Invest account, Stocks and Shares ISA or SIPP. Money paid into a Cash ISA or the CFD account does not count.
How much is the Trading 212 free fractional share worth?
You do not choose the share and you cannot see its value in advance. Trading 212 picks it at random, and lower values are far more likely than higher ones. Its Help Centre publishes the odds:
Odds as published on Trading 212's Help Centre for its UK, EU and Cyprus companies, read on 4 October 2026. The Help Centre lists the bands in the account's currency, so in a UK pound account the share is worth up to £100. It says the odds for Invite a Friend rewards are shown in the app, so check them there before you fund.
How we worked out the average. We weighted each band by its probability. If every reward landed at the bottom of its band, the average would be £13.15. If every reward landed at the top, it would be £31.75. If values are spread evenly within each band, the average comes to about £22.45. These are our own calculations from Trading 212’s published odds, not figures Trading 212 publishes.
Is it worth it for a £1 deposit? Your £1 stays in your account, and in return you receive a fractional share most likely worth £25 or less. That is a good return on the deposit, but treat it as a welcome bonus rather than a reason to pick a platform. Once credited, the share is an ordinary investment and its price can fall as well as rise. As Trading 212 points out, you cannot lose money by claiming it, because you did not pay for it.
Can I still claim? Check your eligibility
Answer four quick questions to see whether you can still claim. Nothing you click is stored or sent anywhere.
Answer the questions above to see your result.
You look eligible. Sign up through our link, or enter our code in the app, then deposit at least £1 into an Invest account or Stocks and Shares ISA within 10 days.

You may still be eligible. This page is written for UK investors, but our code is not limited to the UK. Trading 212 runs its Invite a Friend campaign in a number of other countries, so check the list of eligible countries in Trading 212's Invite a Friend terms before you sign up. Outside the UK you would claim through an Invest account, because the ISA and SIPP are only open to UK residents.

This checker is a guide to Trading 212's published terms. Trading 212 makes the final decision on every reward.
You can claim if
- You have never held a Trading 212 Invest account, Stocks and Shares ISA or SIPP
- You live in the UK, or in another country included in Trading 212's current campaign
- You sign up through our link, or add the code straight after opening your account
- You deposit at least the minimum into an eligible account within 10 days
- You have not used any other promo code or invite link
You cannot claim if
- You are a current or previous Trading 212 customer, including closed accounts
- You only fund a Cash ISA or a CFD account
- You work for the Trading 212 group, or are a close relative of someone who does
- More than 10 days have passed since you opened the account
Which accounts qualify: Invest, ISA, SIPP and Cash ISA
This is where most of the confusion comes from, particularly around ISAs. Here is how Trading 212’s terms treat each account.
Invest account
Qualifies. The simplest route. Your reward share is placed in the Invest account once you meet the conditions.
Stocks and Shares ISA
Qualifies. The share can land inside your ISA, where it counts towards your £20,000 annual ISA allowance. If you hold an ISA and an Invest account and join through our link, the reward goes to whichever you funded first. If you enter our code instead, it goes to the account where you entered it.
SIPP
Qualifies, but the reward is paid into an Invest account. It never goes into the pension, is not a pension contribution and gets no tax relief. Under Trading 212's promo code rules, if you have no Invest account yet the reward is held until you open one, within the promotion's time limit.
Cash ISA
Does not qualify. Cash ISAs are excluded from both Trading 212's promo code and Invite a Friend promotions, so there is no free fractional share for opening one. You can claim the share through an Invest account or Stocks and Shares ISA and still hold a Cash ISA alongside it.
CFD account
Does not qualify. CFDs are excluded from the offer. They are complex, leveraged products and most retail accounts lose money trading them.
Trading 212 promo code vs invite link
Trading 212 runs two kinds of free fractional share promotion, and they are easy to mix up.
Promo codes and promo links are issued for specific promotions, often through partner websites, and are covered by Trading 212’s Promo Code Terms. Invite a Friend links are personal links that existing customers share, covered by separate Invite a Friend terms. Invite a Friend runs in campaigns with fixed dates: the current one runs from 21 September to 3 November 2026.
For you, the mechanics are almost identical. Either way you get one free fractional share, deposit within 10 days, receive the share within three business days and wait 30 days to withdraw its value. What you cannot do is combine them: Trading 212 allows one code or link per customer.
| Promo code or link | Invite a Friend (our code) | |
|---|---|---|
| Issued by | Trading 212, for a specific promotion | An existing Trading 212 customer |
| Reward value | Up to £100 in a UK pound account, odds published on the Help Centre | Up to £100 in a UK pound account, odds shown in the app |
| Deadline | Code within 10 days of opening, unless the promotion says otherwise | Code straight after opening, deposit within 10 days |
| Eligible accounts | Invest, Stocks and Shares ISA, SIPP | Invest, Stocks and Shares ISA, SIPP |
| Time limited | Set by each promotion | Yes, runs in campaigns |
| Withdrawal lock | 30 days on the reward | 30 days on the reward |
Our code is an Invite a Friend code. YourWalletManager is not a Trading 212 affiliate and is not paid commission by Trading 212. When you join through our link or code, the YourWalletManager team member whose account issued the invite may also receive a free fractional share. It costs you nothing and does not change what you receive.
Trading 212 promo code for existing customers
You cannot claim a welcome reward a second time, but while an Invite a Friend campaign is live you can earn free fractional shares by referring people who are new to Trading 212. Open the menu in the app, tap Invite friends and share your link. Trading 212 caps it at five free fractional shares per campaign, and you can see how many you have earned under Rewards.
How to keep your free fractional share
Claiming the share is the easy part. Trading 212 can withhold or take back a reward if certain conditions are broken after it lands, so these are the rules worth knowing.
- Wait 30 days before withdrawing its valueYou can sell the share at any time, but the reward's cash value is locked for 30 calendar days after it is credited. The lock applies only to the reward, not to your own deposits.
- Do not close the account straight awayClosing the account, or withdrawing everything you deposited, immediately after the reward arrives can disqualify you.
- Log in at least every three monthsNot logging in for three months in a row after receiving the reward is listed as grounds for disqualification.
- Do not refuse the share by mistakeYou can turn a reward share down within 24 hours of it arriving, but you will not be offered another one.
- Do not open a second account to claim againHolding more than one eligible account across the Trading 212 group, or reopening after closing, rules you out.
- Do not reverse your depositUndoing any of the qualifying steps, such as pulling back the deposit, can cost you the reward.
Why is my Trading 212 promo code not working?
When a code will not apply or a reward does not appear, one of these is almost always the reason. Work through them in order.
| More than 10 days have passed | The window has closed for that account. Trading 212 only accepts codes in the first 10 days, which include onboarding, and the deposit must be made in the same period. |
|---|---|
| You already used a code or link | Only one is allowed per customer. The first one you used is the one that counts. |
| You have had an account before | Previous customers are not eligible, even if the old account was closed or held with another Trading 212 company. |
| You funded the wrong account | Deposits into a Cash ISA or the CFD account do not count. Add at least £1 to an Invest account, Stocks and Shares ISA or SIPP within the 10 days. |
| Your deposit was too small | The minimum is £1 by bank transfer, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and £10 by debit or credit card. |
| The campaign has ended | Invite a Friend codes only work while a campaign is live. The current one ends on 3 November 2026, and we update this page when the next one starts. |
| Everything checks out | Give it three business days after you qualify, then contact Trading 212 support through the app. |
Is Trading 212 worth it beyond the free fractional share?
A free fractional share is a nice bonus, but it should not decide where you invest. Costs and features matter far more over the years you hold an account.
Trading 212 charges no commission on stock and ETF dealing and no platform, custody or inactivity fee. The minimum investment is £1 and portfolio transfers in and out are free. The main cost most people meet is a 0.15% fee on currency conversion, which applies whenever you buy something not priced in pounds, such as most US shares. Other fees may apply.
UK clients contract with Trading 212 UK Ltd, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (firm reference number 609146). Investments are protected by the FSCS up to £85,000 if the firm fails. Uninvested cash held with partner banks has separate deposit protection of up to £120,000 per person per bank. The two limits cover different things and should not be added together.
Drawbacks
- No funds, unit trusts or OEICs
- 0.15% FX fee on investments not priced in pounds
- No SIPP drawdown at the time of our review
- Self-directed app with no financial advice
Strengths
- Commission-free stock and ETF dealing (other fees may apply)
- No platform, custody or inactivity fee
- £1 minimum deposit by bank transfer
- Invest account, ISA and SIPP in one app
- Free portfolio transfers in and out
Our view. If you were already weighing up a low-cost app for shares and ETFs, claiming a free fractional share when you open a Trading 212 account costs nothing beyond a £1 deposit that stays yours. Trading 212 promo code FAQ
Our code is shown in the offer box at the top of this page. It is a Trading 212 Invite a Friend code, so you can either sign up through our link, which applies it for you, or enter it under Menu, then Use Promo Code, as soon as you open your account. Either way, deposit at least £1 into an Invest account, Stocks and Shares ISA or SIPP within 10 days.
Up to £100 in a UK pound account. The value is random and weighted towards the low end. Trading 212 publishes odds of 80% for the lowest band (8 to 25), 15% for 25.01 to 50, 3% for 50.01 to 75 and 2% for 75.01 to 100. On our estimate, the average reward is around £22.
Not for a welcome reward. Codes only work in the first 10 days of a first account. Existing customers can earn free fractional shares by inviting friends while an Invite a Friend campaign is live, up to five per campaign.
No. Cash ISA accounts are excluded from Trading 212's free fractional share promotions. To claim the share, fund an Invest account or Stocks and Shares ISA instead. You can still open a Cash ISA alongside it.
Yes, if it is placed in your Stocks and Shares ISA. Trading 212's terms say reward shares in an ISA count towards your £20,000 annual ISA allowance.
Yes. You need to deposit at least the minimum into an eligible account within 10 days of opening it. For UK accounts that is £1 by bank transfer, Apple Pay or Google Pay, or £10 by debit or credit card. The deposit stays in your account.
You can sell it at any time. The reward's cash value is locked for 30 calendar days from when it is credited, so you cannot withdraw that amount to your bank before then. The lock does not apply to your own deposits.
Trading 212 says it places the reward within three business days of you meeting the conditions, though it can change that timeframe.
No. Trading 212 allows one promo code or invite link per customer, and a code and a link cannot be combined.
Trading 212 UK Ltd is authorised and regulated by the FCA (firm reference number 609146). Eligible investments are protected by the FSCS up to £85,000 if the firm fails, and cash held with partner banks has separate deposit protection of up to £120,000 per person per bank. As with any investment, the value of your holdings can fall. Our Trading 212 review covers safety in more detail.
Trading 212 says any tax arising from a reward is your responsibility. Inside a Stocks and Shares ISA, returns are free of UK income tax and capital gains tax. Outside an ISA, normal tax rules apply. Tax treatment depends on your circumstances and can change, so speak to a tax adviser if you are unsure.
